Our financial reports
Because we need you—so that no matter what is happening in the world, we can give courage to seriously ill children and their families. In our camps, in hospitals, in schools, or online through a screen. Because it doesn’t cost you anything. Because you decide how the government allocates a portion of your tax. Because in two minutes, you can change lives.
As Hungary’s leading nonprofit organization, since 2001 we have given courage to more than 40,000 seriously ill children, their family members, and classmates through our programs and camps. We provide strength and tools for living and healing—all free of charge for participants. Children with cancer, leukemia, or chronic illnesses can take part in these healing experiences regardless of their financial or social circumstances.
With your support, in 2026 we will be able to provide healing experiences to more than 5,000 seriously ill children and their families—from spring through fall in our camps, and all year in hospitals, and by creating inclusive classroom communities in schools. Together, we change lives. At camp—even after a round of chemotherapy or between treatments—children can test their courage again: on horseback, at the archery range, or on the high ropes course. Our professional standards are overseen by the SeriousFun Children’s Network and the International Camping Fellowship. The lifelong positive impact of Bátor Tábor is also supported by research from Yale University and the American Institutes for Research®. Our participants and volunteers carry the sense of responsibility and compassion they learn in our programs into their everyday lives. Day by day, they make the world a better place.
Absolutely. Every small amount counts. From an average 1% tax donation, we can cover a camper’s medical care for an entire camp session. Each year, nonprofits receive billions of forints through 1% tax donations, which provide significant support for their work. Donating your 1% takes only a few minutes through the online government portal, and even if you choose to mail it in, it takes no more time than sending a check.
Choose an organization that operates transparently. Visit their website, read about their mission and principles, and make sure their annual reports are publicly available. Be careful not to confuse organizations with similar names. As a transparent children’s foundation, we manage your support thoughtfully, strategically, and transparently. We plan three years ahead. Our finances are audited by Deloitte. Our mission comes first: we accept donations only from companies and private individuals, and we operate independently of politics. If you provide your contact details on the declaration form, we will report back to you on how the funds raised from the 1% donations were used.
